Truffle Bruschetta with Tartoofo Truffle – An Easy Italian Recipe

Truffle Bruschetta with Tartoofo Truffle – An Easy Italian Recipe

Inspired by the simplicity of traditional Italian cooking, this recipe uses just a few quality ingredients. Crispy toasted bread, extra virgin olive oil and delicate slices of Tartoofo truffle. This truffle bruschetta is a wonderfully simple way to enjoy the aroma and flavour of truffle as an elegant appetiser at home, whether you are serving it as starter before dinner, alongside an aperitivo, or as part of a special meal.

Preparation time: 5-10 minutes

Ingredients

Serves 4

  • 4–6 slices of good-quality Italian or rustic sourdough bread (they have a firmer, more substantial crumb that will absorb the olive oil and truffle without becoming too soft or falling apart).
  • One jar of Tartoofo ready-to-use truffle slices
  • Extra virgin olive oil

Method

1. Toast the bread

Preheat your oven grill to a high temperature.

Arrange the bread slices on a tray or wire rack and place them under the grill. Toast for approximately 2–3 minutes on each side, or until the bread is golden and crisp around the edges but still slightly tender in the centre.

Keep a close eye on the bread, as it can brown quickly under a hot grill.

2. Add the Extra Virgin olive oil

Remove the toasted bread from the oven and place it on a serving plate or board.

While the bread is still warm, drizzle generously with extra virgin olive oil, allowing it to soak slightly into the toasted surface.

3. Add the Tartoofo truffle slices

Arrange the Tartoofo truffle slices generously over each piece of warm bruschetta.

The heat from the bread helps release the natural aroma of the truffle, while the olive oil adds richness and brings the flavours together.

For an extra touch of seasoning, finish with a little sea salt if you like.

4. Serve immediately

Arrange the truffle bruschette on a serving platter and serve immediately while the bread is still warm and crisp.

For the best experience, keep the topping simple and allow Tartoofo truffle flavour to be the star of the dish.

You can also make smaller pieces of bruschetta and serve them as an elegant appetiser for a dinner party.
